Stream Processing Algorithms that Model Behavior Change

چکیده
This paper presents algorithms that fuse information in multiple event streams to update models that represent system behavior. System behaviors vary over time; for example, an information network varies from heavily loaded to lightly loaded conditions; patterns of incidence of disease change at the onset of pandemics; file access patterns change from proper usage to improper use that may signify insider threat. The models that represent behavior must be updated frequently to adapt to changes rapidly; in the limit, models must be updated continuously with each new event. Algorithms that adapt to change in behavior must depend on the appropriate length of history: Algorithms that give too much weight to the distant past will not adapt to changes in behavior rapidly; algorithms that don’t consider enough past information may conclude incorrectly, from noisy data, that behavior has changed while the actual behavior remains unchanged. Efficient algorithms are incremental – the computational time required to incorporate each new event should be small and ideally independent of the length of the

Data Stream Mining: the Bounded Rationality
The developments of information and communication technologies dramatically change the data collection and processing methods. Data mining is now moving to the era of bounded rationality. In this work we discuss the implications of the resource constraints impose by the data stream computational model in the design of learning algorithms. We analyze the behavior of stream mining algorithms and ...
متن کاملA flood risk projection for Soleimantangeh Dam against future climate change
A sensitivity analysis of the flood safety of Solaimantangeh dam using a regional climate change simulation is presented. Based on the output of the CCSM (Community Climate Change System Model) general circulation model, the NIRCM (North of Iran Regional Climate Model) computes regional scale output with 50 km spatial resolution and 21 vertical layers. Using the SRES (Special Report Emission Sc...
متن کاملDetecting Concept Drift in Data Stream Using Semi-Supervised Classification
Data stream is a sequence of data generated from various information sources at a high speed and high volume. Classifying data streams faces the three challenges of unlimited length, online processing, and concept drift. In related research, to meet the challenge of unlimited stream length, commonly the stream is divided into fixed size windows or gradual forgetting is used. Concept drift refer...
متن کاملبررسی فرایند نورد متقارن ورق های سه لایه با استفاده از تابع جریان و تئوری حد بالا
In this paper, a mathematical model for symmetrical multi-layer sheet rolling, in which the layers are unbounded before rolling, by using the upper bound method and stream function theorem is proposed. Using this model, we can investigate the plastic deformation behavior of sheets at the roll gap during rolling. Effect of various rolling conditions such as initial and final thickness and flow s...
متن کاملUsing labeled data to evaluate change detectors in a multivariate streaming environment
We consider the problem of detecting changes in a multivariate data stream. A change detector is defined by a detection algorithm and an alarm threshold. A detection algorithm maps the stream of input vectors into a univariate detection stream. The detector signals a change when the detection stream exceeds the chosen alarm threshold. We consider two aspects of the problem: (1) setting the alar...
